It’s my first time to hate Monday. I didn’t have Monday-sickness until today. I sorely wished that the weekend was longer.
I haven’t felt this for the longest time… but this weekend… I felt at home… at home.
Well so what did I do?
Hmmm… well I impulsively went to Star City with my brother last Saturday. The original plan was EK… but that’s really far… and more pricey. So I suggested Star City since I want to go to the Snow World again and slide in the ice. *tried it first when Cams was here… uber fun… uber hypothermia*
Anyway… I texted James and asked him what time Star City opens… then eventually we were able to score two free ride-all-you-can tickets! Woohoo! Well it’s courtesy of Adam… coursed through James. thankyouverymuch. I love ‘em guys.
We really got tired, my brother and I… and to think that we only rode the bump car, the new star flyer, and got into the horror house. Boy, I hate that horror house. I almost had a heart attack. Grrr… It wasn’t that scary, but kuya Cris was so scared.. I got scared too. And the path seemed to be neverending! So we were running and screaming… and when we got out… I almost died. Hehehe
And the Star flyer was really cool. Can’t describe it here. It needs to be experienced.
Well the highlight of my night was the Yaw-Yan MMA fighting challenge.
I was introduced to that sport by my brother Angel. You know, I think he wasn’t quite satisfied with having two older brothers that he wants to turn me into a guy as well. Hehehe. Anyway, I got into the world of grappling, triangle chokes, the octagon, tap outs, submission, arm bars, etc., by watching UFC. I looked up to Royce Gracie, and Randy Couture. We even watched the local matches on tv (the reality show aired on ABS-CBN).
When I got to Star City I saw the poster in the entrance and asked Adam where the matches will be held. To make it short… we were able to watch the match by the ring side. Hehehe… It wasn’t a big fight. But the players were good. To my standards. It was really exciting. We were rooting for anybody. Hehehe… Kuya Cris didn’t want to watch it at first because he said it was too violent. However, I was able to convince him. And we sat through the game… well almost the entire game. I was able to record some of the fights… well just bits of it so I can watch it again. I dunno… probably I have more testosterone than estrogen. Hehehe… Bad. But it was a different feeling if you watch it live, with all the people screaming and cheering… Ugh! I didn’t know violence can be entertaining. Well… umm… it’s really not pure violence, right? It’s martial arts.
I love the arts!
Oh.. and back to the weekend… Of course… dear Margaux visited again. She eats cerelac now… cranberry flavor. Yummy! And she has silicone spoon! So cute! She’s growing up really fast. I can’t wait to run around after her… and to talk to her. I bet she’ll be as talkative as.. ehem… me.
